The Bill Hopkins Rockin Orchestra set the Ballroom floor on fire last weekend, April 2nd, in Palm Springs, CA. when they incorporated a smokin hot element to their vignettes which included the ladies of LaFemme Panache and world renowned ballroom dancers together performing a tribute to the new ballroom craze, that shows like "Dancing with the Stars" and "Burn the Floor" have made so popular.

The entire 5 set pre show was performed at the beautiful Indian Wells Resort in Palm Desert, in between each dinner course.  The show featured every style of traditional ballroom dance from the waltz, the tango to the quick step and the jive!  The show was completely choreographed by Ronnie Reddick.  Bill Hopkins, the director of Bill Hopkins Rockin Orchestra, plans to market this new pre show by showcasing it on their website, http://www.hoprock.com, which will give it the type of exposure necessary for future work!

It was so fun working with these skilled and highly trained dancers.  They were such a pleasure to watch perform and it was an honor having the chance to dance side by side.  I have a feeling that the Palm Desert show won't be the last time LaFemme Panache shares the floor with them, based on the outstanding applause and wonderful comments Ronnie Reddick, Bill Hopkins and LaFemme received after the show ended.  Of course, after we were done with our 5 set pre show, the ladies of LaFemme worked it out with the band for another few hours... as we do so well!

LaFemme Panache 2011 auditions!!!

LaFemme Panache call back audition
LaFemme Panache held the 2011 auditions in Walnut Creek on March 27th. and there were some wonderfully talented ladies who came, were fierce and danced phenomenally.  Unfortunately, Ronnie was only able to ask just a few for a call back that following Wednesday.

During the call back, the potential LaFemme members had the opportunity to tell us about themselves, talk about their personal lives, where they're from, and what they do, but most importantly, why they want to be apart of LaFemme Panache!

After getting to know a little about each audition-er, we were able to watch them strut their stuff once again, while they learned a short combination from Ronnie!

South Bay auditions are approaching fast and will be located in San Jose on April 16.  At this audition, we'll be looking for gentlemen dancers as well as ladies, who are skilled in hip hop and jazz techniques.  For more info about the upcoming audition, make sure to follow Ronnie Reddick on facebook:   http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=508838172
